Technology Isn’t the Problem—It’s How We Use It

When I worked on branding for an AI smart home system, I realized how counterintuitive it all was. These so-called “smart” devices added more stress than peace. They made me think of WALL·E—a world where machines do everything and people lose their emotions and mobility.

Technology should serve us—not complicate our lives. Humans are driven by desire, and we struggle with self-discipline. Good tech reminds us to breathe, to move, to take care of ourselves—not just to scroll endlessly or chase productivity.

That’s why I believe the Apple Watch wasn’t made to make us more efficient, but to help us pause, stretch, and stay human.

Tech is neutral. It’s how we choose to use it that defines the outcome. In my next piece, I’ll explore how tech can actually become a workout companion.
